A Key-per of Keys

________Ha ha ha. My titles are genius puns. I make myself laugh. I make myself laugh more than I should, because let's be honest, I'm not really all that hilarious.

________...

________That's where you disagree with me and lie to me and tell me that I am the most hilarious creature this earth has eva seen.

________It's okay. You'll get it right next time.

________This weekend, besides sacrificing my Saturday morning and afternoon to writing an English paper, some baking occurred around le house. Some delicious and healthy baking, that is. Mother and I recently discovered The Healthy Foodie, an utterly extraordinary blog filled with a variety of wholesome recipes; I tried (and become deeply enamored with) the pumpkin pie oatmeal bake, and mother and I both made a most delectable cobbler but with strawberries and blueberries instead. When I say we both made it, I mean that while she made it, I stole bites from it. The blueberries were so big and juicy that I couldn't help myself!

Mediterranean Marching Band

________I'm sure you're probably sick of seeing posts with me wearing royal blue. I can't really help it, though. It seems like I bought a bunch of royal blue things all in the same month: these skinnies, those flamboyant cowboy boots, and that cardigan. I'm sorry. I just get really excited when I see colorful things in stores; I've told myself that I'm not allowed to buy any more black-colored clothing since I have more than enough on hand, and so far my purchasing this year has not included any black items. I'm trying to be more colorful and brave, you see!

________And being more colorful is fun... so very fun indeed.

Cinnamon Cicadas

________You're probably seeing lots of new things on me that you haven't seen on this blog before-- and that's quite the keen observation, dear citizen. Since I lost some weight, half the things in my closet don't fit the same. It's weird because my same-size tops still fit (just better, now), but then I dropped two sizes in pants and skirts. It's kind of depressing, because many things that used to fit me are now much too big for me to wear, many things which I had only worn a few times or found very cute and wore quite often. I know I shouldn't be complaining about my clothing being too big, but I wish some things could be magically shrunk! Unfortunately, for certain pieces of clothing, taking them in is not always the simplest task. I am thankful that some of my clothes that were previously a bit tight, such as this dress, now fit just perfectly.

________At least with shoes, you know they'll always fit. Shoes are a girl's best friend. Shoes are forever, kind of like diamonds.

________Unless you get pregnant and your feet happen to grow half a size.

________...

________I'm adopting from Narnia, though, so I won't ever have to worry about that. Yes, that's right-- a Narnian child. Half human, half centaur, one-hundred percent awesome. My centaur child will own your human child at kickball. My parents will be so pleased.

Royal Hue

________This is what I wore to go grocery shopping, 'cause I'm one of those people who dresses up when they go to fancy places like Walmart. I wasn't entirely sure about this outfit, but when one of the cashiers told me she liked it, I felt like a supermodel. Rock on, cashierlady. Rock on.

________Do you ever feel like you don't remember how to pose? Because that's how I felt today. I felt so unoriginal-- every pose that I made felt the same as the last, kind of like how every tadpole looks the same as other tadpoles. No distinction at all. That was me today: a tadpole, tadding and poling along. Ah, well! At least my photos came out fairly nice (and I did manage to find some distinguishing poses in the lot). I feel like they have been much sharper lately ever since I adventured into using manual mode. But maybe it's just me.

________My parents got me these boots as a giftie for making the President's List my first semester. They combine a crazy 1980's shade of royal blue, a western style, and a metal sliver at the toe. I don't think you can get much more tacky-- err, fashionable, than that. Totally spunkeriffic, yo. They are vintage and were purchased from Etsy, the virtual land of magical things. I'm pretty sure that Etsy is the internet's secret Utopian society; that, and it's probably the only place where you could find a unicorn.
