Mellow Yellow Fellow

Yellow3Yellow4

______This is basically a variation of what I've been wearing for the past few days, and what I'll probably continue wearing as I plunge into exam week: shorts, boots, and a light jacket of some sort.  I know it's rather bizarre seeing me wearing this odd piece of clothing which human beings casually refer to as "pants," but wearing these allows me to sit in obscure study positions without the lingering fear that I am flashing everyone.

______Ain't nobody got time for studying upright like an uncooked noodle!  For proper studying, you've gotta contort yourself into weird shapes, like a pretzel, or a sprawled out spider that's missing two legs, or a half-melted stick of margarine.  It may seem strange for a human to be able to resemble a half-melted stick of margarine, but I have definitely been able to manage it.

  1. I love how your "casual" outfits are still super cute and edgy! Good luck on your finals girl! That's a part of school I do not miss!
    Have a great day!

  4. To me a combo of boots and short skirts/shorts/dresses was always cool. This is a really nice outfit and there is something a little edgy about it that I really like.

I don't know what it is with positions and studying but I've noticed the same pattern...perhaps we're invoking some kind of divine help by assuming weird poses in the same way people used to dance to invoke rain? or do we just concentrate better when we set ourselves in a study mood...whatever means we chose to employ...coffee, weird positions or whatever.

  5. shorts and boots is definitely one of the trickier combinations, but for exam studying, clearly comfort is key and you make it work.

  8. I vote that you incorporate these studying positions into your blogger poses. ;) That half melted margarine stick has me wondering how you would achieve it.
Haha, and yeah, I know, dresses and skirts are just unreasonable right now. Ain't nobody got time for dat!
Also, I usually think the same about high boots and shorts...but Ali...somehow you manage to pull it off without looking hookerish at all.
Good luck with finals! I'm stressing over my Biology one...ugh >_<

  9. Haha that is so true about studying positions! Though you look much cuter than I have while working on my school crap. I pretty much live in my apartment by myself in my pajamas for days on end. I'll be happy to rejoin the world after next Friday!

  10. Ah, yes. I still contort myself into crazy positions whenever I sit. I can never just sit in a normal upright position. It always has to be upside down, or twisted up in some way. Pants are great for that! haha. You look really great in this. That yellow really pops from the black jacket (which is a great cut, by the way) and I actually love the boots. They are fun and edgy!
Good luck with your studying! I'm sure you'll do wonderfully :)

  11. High high heels and booty shorts = prostitute, but this works girl! I love it. And I never wear pants, but I do wear shorts! I love shorts - my legs are free! Pants are like jail for my legs. And indeed, sometimes skrits make it hard to get all comfy and be proper. I have little shame in front of friends though. And I love yellow on you. So prety

  12. It is indeed very strange to see you in something other than skirts and dresses, but you look SOOO good in those shorts! I mean seriously, you have amazing legs and you look beautiful in this outfit. Good luck with your exams!

  13. I love how you used that great pop of yellow. Looks nice in that black leathery sandwich of the jacket and boots! Great contrast.

  16. DANG girl! You're looking chic and fierce all at the same time and (like always) I'm obsessed. I always used to have this thing about studying/reading with my butt and legs up against a wall so I was in an L shaped. Awkward? Yes. Comfortable? Oddly so. Try it. I promise after you will be an L study sesh convert:)
