A Year of Cheer

____Por qué a year of cheer you may ask? Why, today (well, tomorrow, actually) is my one year blogversary! It's so super exciting. I should have baked a cake for Mr. Blog. But alas, I don't think he likes cake. I believe he is a fan of celery sticks and leeks. He must be part worm.

____So, it has finally gotten cold! This is also super exciting (many super exciting things are happening, don't you think?) since now I can start to wear my plethora of exotic colored and patterned tights. I have been waiting for this moment for a while, just as I have been waiting to put my reindeer antlers and nose on my car. Alas, hours after putting the nose on my car, my dog tore it up and decided to eat part of it. It may be fixable. I do hope so.

____On Black Friday, our malls were suprsingly not that busy. There was a big rival football game and so we're assuming most people were at that. We did go shopping and I bought a few neat things, and yesterday we went to TJ Maxx and I got even more awesome things like a sa-weet military jacket and these Chanel-inspired tights that are black on one side and white on the other. I bought a pair then my mom bought the last pair "just in case they rip because they are so awesome." Yay, mom! Our relatives drove across the States to visit us and we consumed much delicious and satisfying Thanksgiving food. It was so very wonderful! Our four pies have diminished to just a few slices which will most likely dissapear into some mysterious place before tonight. Where that mysterious place is.. uh, I totally don't know and don't have a sketchy expression on my face. I hope everyone found some good deals on Black Friday (you brave souls!) and had a great Thanksgiving. Until later, citizens!

A Step Back in Time

____Oh, blank white wall, how I feel like I'm going back in picture-taking time with you! It could be worse, it could have been my garage door. My excuse for no adventuring is that the weather has been cruddy lately. I seriously would love to wake up and go outside and for it to just be cold as ice cube land outside instead of being humid and rainy and slightly cool on and off. One minute it's raining like we're gonna need to build an arc, then it's sunny and rainy, then it's all "Fool, I'mma act like I'mma rain down on you, but I'm not really going to rain.. or am I? You'll never know, puny human!" and it's probably frightening to you how I can talk to the sky and all. So being the wimp I am, indoor pictures were the only answer.

____Well, hay! Let's brighten up those white walls with some colorful leaves, because everyone loves leaves! I'm glad my dad convinced me to take pictures of the leaves a few days ago, because now all these leaves are on the ground and brown and poopy like and not so pretty. Moving away from the decomposition of leaves due to nature's autumnal equinox, what are your favorite Thanksgiving dishes? I love mashed potatoes and pumpkin pie with whipped cream, om nom nom garf garf nom.

There's Never Enough Time

Abstract Circles ____

______Alas, my crazy week is over!  All my hard work feels like it's paid off, 'cause I've received nine pleasant days off for what I hope will be a most majestic Thanksgiving break . Get it, gurl (or boy, or mutated but friendly cactus plant, whatever majestic thing you may be).

______I made this collage in digital photography class, and all the images used came from pinhole camera photos that everyone in the class took.  I do believe its a variation of a space wormhole dimension that will transport someone to another universe upon viewing it.  Anyone have a theory?  Or did you, too, get sucked into the wormhole?  Photoshop can do sort of amazing things.  I've never used it before this class and it makes me feel guilty, as if I'm cheating.  I mean, being able to undo something?!  Pah!  You can't do that in real life.

She Was a Vision

______I've finally finished this picture!  I began it over the summer and then it dragged into the school year like an unenthusiastic squid until I rediscovered its true potential and forced it to become a part of my AP Art concentration.  It is of Miss Amber Rose, but I'm aware that it doesn't look exactly like her.  Either way, she is a most gorgemous lady and I tried to make this picture reflect the dreamy side of her charismatic personality.

______Posting this makes me think of how I like that there are those of you who comment frequently on my blog posts, as I am sure you may know I am one of those posters for you!  I'm so very thankful for all of you guys and I just need to thank you for being so sweet and loyal.  If any of you want to be drawn or painted, please tell me, because I would love to stick you into a future piece of artsies!  Plus, you guys already naturally pose for pictures and look great, so it's not like you'd ever have to do anything new!

______Anyway, I hope you like the picture, Amber (and you all too, citizens)!  I hope everyone had a scaryawesome Halloween, too!

______Update: Amber made a post featuring this on her blog.  She is such a darling little sweetheart!

Ambulances and Ice Cream Trucks

It has been a long week and a half, my friends. A very long week and a half. Rumors of my demise have been extremely exaggerated and utterly made up, for I still live on. And so I excuse my absence and hope to start anew. So today, I got up, put some makeup on, brushed my hair a bit, and took some pictures in this dandy little outfit. I feel so dedicated! I love this shirt so much, I'm so super obsessed with stripes. I counted how many striped shirts I have in my closet and I have six. Eight if that includes vertically striped shirts. Intense? Perhaps so. And even after acquiring more and more striped shirts, I still hover toward them in stores like a bologna-eating person does to bologna.

So, good citizens, I ask you this today: what exactly keeps you busy and away from your blog?
