Bumblebee, Bumblebee, Please Come Back

I'm sorry for no posts in over a week! My computer decided to commit suicide via overheating his motherboard. Thankfully my brother is a mad computer genius and figured that out! Mr. Compy should be back up and running in a couple of weeks (or so I hope), but for now, I shall withdraw the power from my mommy's computer and use it to my own will, ahahahaa. Please excuse my evil faces in these pictures, I was trying hard not to be eaten by this evil, buzzing wasp who kept darting at me! Apparently when I concentrate really hard I look like an evil wizard casting an evil spell on someone.. all while lookin' evil. Anyway, I do hope everyone is enjoying their lovely day. Or not so lovely day. It's icky and raining here and there was some nasty tornado-esque weather. Tornadoes are scary and frightening things, especially at night when the wind howls through the doors and makes creepy ghosts noises and your room is adjacent to the creepy howling noises and you can't sleep. Yucky!

Finding a Happy Place

After about three weeks of working on this thing, I have finally completed it! I have an excuse for my slowness.. this is only the second painting I've done and it's the biggest one I've done. It measures somewhere around 30 inches tall by 18 inches wide or so (don't know the exact dimensions right now since it's at school). But yay, I'm just glad it's done! Now, maybe I can work faster and post some other artsies! I also think this painting sort of made me realize what kind of concentration I'll be focusing on in AP Studio Art for my senior yea next year: finding happiness in tough situations. For example, you can be sitting on a sun burning your butt off and not being able to breathe but still be happy as a dandy little clam. Of course that's possible, of course. Right? Right. Yeah. Glad we understand one another. High five right now. Good, nice. Fine work, lovely work, yes.

(Psssst. I know the flute is backwards. This is sad, seeing as how I played the flute in 6th grade band.. but hey, we can pretend it's a special left handed flute or something. She's sitting on a sun for gosh sakes!)

It's unfortunate that it's getting warm, for a while there I didn't mind the 30-50 degree temperature because of the amazing collection of tights I have achieved in just the past few months. I will miss being able to wear them and their exciting colory-ness! I've been very busy lately (I know just about everyone is right now!) and I have another cake to bake this weekend for a project (human brain cake, yip yip). The other weekend I made an eyeball cake and now I'm just sort of sick of making cakes, ha.. but one thing I will never get sick of is eating the batter! Seriously though, my AP Pscyh. teacher decided to suddenly put on lots of notes and a project and notecards and studies for us to complete and everything is due Monday and I believe I will now go and dig my grave, so farewell, fair people of Agrabah.

The Rose Parade

That last picture of the ring is actually from a giveaway I won from the girl over at Walk the Sand. I was so excited when she told me I won, it took a while to register that in my head! I received the package in the mail just the other day and opened it to discover some very lovely things other than the ring, but all that were animal inspired! I am in love with the zebra clutch, it's so cute and I already have about five outfits in my head for it. I love cute accessories and I thank her so much for picking me, even if it was at random!

Today I went over to my friend's house and we ate half a bowl of chocolate cake mix, which a windup caterpillar was dropped in to accidently (poor thing! he crawled so slowly after that), then played some old school Mario on the NES and made my friend have a super awesome phone greeting where Mario music played in the background and he said that he said, "It'sa me, Mario!" (his Mario accent is legit and I'm asking myself if he's expertly hiding his Italian plumber-ness). Then, we went on a fun exploration of the river behind the house (not in this outfit, though! I changed hehe). We had to climb down a cliff then take our shoes off and wade knee deep through the cool water. It was awesome. I love nature, ahh! We found a snail and made leaf jewelry and everything. We took pictures on my phone, but for some reason, Mr. iPhone is being mean and not letting me access his pictures. Usually an icon pops up on the My Computer screen and I can just copy pasta the pictures, but not now, hmmm dilemma!
