For being the holiday break, I've been surprisingly busy. On Monday I bought many lovely things on sale with half of my Christmas money, such as this flower cardigan that I love so much! I've also been searching for a pageant dress. There is this one that I loved so much when I tried it on but it was just half an inch too small and a bit too short, but it was very fairytale and magical looking. I suppose that's what I get for trying on a size three dress!

A Delicious Christmas
Christmas. The day where you eat homemade butterscotch cookies and chocolate tiger butter squares for every meal and nobody can tell you it's not healthy since they're doing it, too. The day where you sit at home around the fireplace, all cozy in your robes and slippers, baggy warm clothes, while sipping apple cider and chatting amongst your equals with soft, hush voices. It's the day where memories are brought back from the dusty books that covered them for so long. A holiday so strong, so sweet, so positively filled with tender, happy thoughts and positively scrumptious instances. Merry Christmas!
I made a ton of delicious cookies this week: five-dozen chocolate chip, five-dozen butterscotch and oatmeal, lots of hand decorated sugar cookies, two-dozen peanut butter cup, a few-dozen peanut butter, plus three sheets of tiger butter. I had fun making them (and eating most of the dough).

Our dog also had fun at his first Christmas. He gnawed on the shiny wrapping paper then flopped down on it, too weary from playing all day with our grandparents' poodles. He fell asleep quickly and was soon buried under many sheets of wrapping paper.

Ruffling Feathers
My friends have been trying to coerce me to be in our school's annual beauty walk, and so after a few noncommitted considerations, I have grudgingly agreed to their demands. It's an excuse for me to find a pretty dress at least. I've been searching online for lovely long-length dresses, and unfortunately my favorite find was already sold. And it was only $45.00! It looked like it would fit rather nicely into an Alice in Wonderland movie. After some time searching for long prom dresses, my searching somehow diverged from prom dresses and drifted off to find these ruffled beauts..

Aren't uneven hems just pretty?
Along with dreaming of ruffly things these week, I've also kept myself busy by making little candies and cakes with special themes as presents for family and friends. Thank goodness this is the last week of school until the holiday break!

Black and White, Not Red All Over
I was feeling very black and white this week! It took me a pretty long time to figure out where a good place to take pictures in my house was-- we don't have many blank walls with a nice-sized table conveniently located across from it to put my camera on, but I finally found one in our bonus room! Hopefully I'll find some more.
Today it was cold. It snowed a little this morning, but not enough for me to build a snow castle, so I mournfully went back to sleep.

Drawing Out Loud
Some of the freehand sharpie art I've done in the past year or so. It's funny, these all started as assignments that I just wanted to get over with, but then they ended up as being some of my favorite drawings ever. They're all a lot bigger than they appear, except for the top one, which is just two sketchbook pages. The pinecone is about three feet tall and the mannequins about two feet wide. I love to do lines-- they're just so expressive, imaginary, and can evoke such strong statements, plus you can do just about anything with them!
Just last week before Thanksgiving break my teacher asked my to design a logo for her embroidery company that she's starting. I was so honored, oh my goodnesss! I thought, "what a wonderful way to test myself!" even though she never paid me. I'd feel bad if I asked for her to pay me, besides, it was just a test to see if I could do it. So, I made this for her and she liked it. She asked me to edit some things, although I liked the original best out of all the edits:
