Ballad of the Windfish

I apologize for these simple outfits lately, but it's just too hot and humid to wear anything but a tank top and something short on the bottom! Even shirts with short sleeves are too much. These days, the last thing I want to turn into is a soggy spaghetti noodle, because soggy spaghetti noodles are no fun for anyone. In fact, soggy spaghetti noodles don't even like each other. Trust me, I asked a group of them once at an Iron Chefs convention. I can even speak the ancient and sacred language of the soggy spagghetti (pronounced soggy spuh-GET-eye). Oh, but please, as natural as a response as it is, I plead that you must not become jealous of my ability. I promise to not brag too much on it. But hey, before you quit reading this, I have one last and important thing I must say: I can speak soggy spaghettian. And you can't (just making sure you won't forget).

I feel the exact same way-- whenever I see outfits on other blogs where the girls are wearing jackets or ... God forbid... TIGHTS?? I nearly faint. Only not really, I'm not quite so dramatic as that. But still-- it's hot as Hades out there! I think you did good with the bright blue tank and adding elegant accessories, though!

PS: Would you want to be email buddies? This is sorta like junior high where you check yes or no, only I'd hope to think I'm not quite so.... dumb. xD

No reason you need tons of layers to look cute and chic - it's the little details like the bow on the skirt and the buttons of the booties that make an outfit!

Awww yeah. Bow tie makes this outfit SUCH A WIN.

And I TOTEZ agree: 1) Summer strips creative dressing and 2) soggy spaghetti is NO FUN for anyone (haha, rhyme!)

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Something just occurred to me:
Earlier this month you left me a comment asking about styling the poppy dress. I get comments emailed to me, so I just replied to the email. but I just looked at it and says I emailed:

noreply-comment@blogger.com

which leads me to believe you never go it....

Such a lovely skirt! That blue colour looks really good on you.
And I know what you mean that it's too hot to wear anything with a short sleeves or whatever, because it's been the same here the past days. Except for yesterday.
